Amazing! Just what my son needed! — Constance
was so much more than anything I could have anticipated! She really clicked with
my son. She found out what his interests were and always made sure she had
materials that would interest him. She was very patient and really built up his
confidence in his reading abilities. She was also very understanding of how
little boys can be. My son was always excited to have her come. For the
first time he didn't dread doing his reading. I was always comfortable
having her in our home. We plan to use her again if the need arises. I really
can't say enough about her. We loved her! ...

Tutoring all subjects grade K-6th
Want to help your child catch up on below level areas during the summer?
Want to help your child get a head start for the next school year?
Maybe you just don’t want your child to forget what they have learned over the summer.
I can help. I am a certified tutor employed with Salt Lake Community College.
I specialize in math and reading for grades K-8. However, I have knowledge in most subjects.
I have spent the last year as a 5th grade teacher’s aide and
volunteer as an American Reads Tutor while studying to become a certified teacher.
I have a talent for making any subject fun as well as motivating even the most stubborn students.
I am available to tutor students from all levels including ADD/ADHD related issues.
My goal is to help any child achieve their academic goals.
As a mother of a teenager with ADHD I have had to develop many strategies
and creative learning techniques to help my son stay focused in the class. In
the classroom where I volunteer I currently provide 5 students diagnosed with
ADD and ADHD modified behavior and learning plans utilizing a reward system. I
also teach them skills to help them stay focused for longer periods of time. As
an education student with a focus on special education at SLCC, I have taken
multiple courses on Exceptionality in the classroom and special education that
have provided me with many tools and “tricks” to help motivate my students.
References are available on request. Limited time slots left.
I charge $20.00 an hour for the Salt Lake Valley. I can also drive to surrounding areas
but there is a transportation fee added to hourly charge.
Multi child discounts are available. I do have a limited amount of partial scholarships available
for Title I school students with a need.
